Passion Projects
What are you passionate or sentimental about? Perhaps it's an old chair that's been handed down through your family but could use some shoring up; or maybe it's a tool or some other keepsake that's taking up space in your garage instead of being a usable focal piece in your home. Tell me about it and together we can probably find some unique and creative ways to bring your ideas to life.
When my brother-in-law got married his new wife wanted some rustic, yet fun, cupcake stands for the wedding. She showed me some inspiration photographs of what she was looking for, and I got to work. The stands looked great and the wedding was beautiful.
When my father-in law passed away, the sign from his dental practice was a special family piece that we wanted to salvage. Using wood from the property that he bought and built his house on, I created this mount so that it could be preserved indoors.
While rummaging through the barn I came across some beautiful old barn boards. They weren't really salvageable for building with, but they had so much character I hated to throw them out. Instead, I was able to make picture frames out of them. Not a bad way to display our wedding photos.
My family and I love the outdoors, so whenever we can blend outdoor living with our interior space, we go for it. Here are some simple coasters and candle stands that I've constructed over the years.
